

1 What difference does this doctrinal distinction make? The difference is monumental in its consequence because our identity determines in large measure our destiny. They teach that we are more than creations of God they teach that we are the literal spirit offspring or children of God our Father. The scriptures teach, however, a much different doctrine. There is a sentiment among many in the world that we are the spirit creations of God, just as a building is the creation of its architect or a painting the creation of its painter or an invention the creation of its inventor. And so today I speak of the true nature of our identity and a correct vision of our divine destiny.įirst, our identity. Tell them that God knows who is ready and he will tell us if we pray. Then say that some of the people they had written down are ready to receive the gospel but that we don’t know and that we are going to say a pray to ask who is know who is ready. After they are done writing down the names, see who wrote down the most and congratulate them and everyone else. You can sing one hymn and then maybe a second if they need more time.ģ. When the hymn stops, the writing stops and we see who wrote down the biggest number of names. Tell the people that they are going to start writing down names when you start singing a hymn. You tell them not to worry, just to write.Ģ. You say that the purpose of the game is to see who can write down the most amount of names. They can be someone from school, from work, someone from sports, your neighbors, anyone and everyone. Each person has to think of as many people as they know that are not members of the church. You give a piece of paper to each person and explain the game.
